98 chevy transplant carb'd 350

Hey guys....I'm new to this and just have a few questions if you don't mind helping me......
I currently have a 98 chevy short wheelbase 4x2 with the vortec 4.3/4l60e in it.....
I wanted to drop in a carb'd 350 in the 400hp range.......
What kind of electrical nightmare will I run into?
Will the 4l60e work in this configuration w/o the computer operated 4.3?
or will I have to replace it with a tb350/400?

The trans requires the computer (and the sensors on the engine) to operate. You will either need a standalone trans computer (available aftermarket for big bucks) or a different trans.

Just go with a 350 trans or any other that is not computer controlled and save the money from the stand alone computer. They are not that expensive, can handle most any power thrown at them, and are easily upgraded when the time comes.

The 700r4 is mechanically the predecessor to the 4L60E, so it should be a bolt-in that will let you keep the same driveshaft, crossmember, and mount.
