98 Lumina-diagnostic codes/for brakes?

Hi there,

I have a problem with my ABS light coming on evry once in a while. Usually when I'm on the highway in winter weather. In town it's fine. I've already replaced the front speed sensors (2 different occasions) because I was able to test them & determine they were bad. I figure one or both of the rear two must be going as well, but of course, when I test them, everything is dry, so they check-out ok.

The first time I changed a sensor, I brought it in to the dealer, & they connected to it via diagnostic machine & identified the culprit without taking a wheel off. There must be a way to get diagnostic codes for this car that would include codes for the brake system? I went on the ALDL.COM link from one of the other posts regarding computer interfacing & did some browsing around. I can't seem to find anything for vehicles newer than 95.

Does anyone know if such technology exists out there?

RR.

Yes

Yeah, chevy has a special one. Or you can use a snap-on modis but it has to the brake soft wear. It sounds to me like it is being shorted out when it gets wet. Hope that helps.
