[74montecarlo400]

Hello, i own a 74 monte carlo. has 400 small bock engine. Just wondering if you could give me a BALLPARK (sorry i know how broad this is) figure on the horsepower and/or torque... Im now rebuilding it with roller rockers, engine machined, machined stock heads with stock falves 194, slight port work, hypereutectic pistons around 9:5 compression, putting a low duration torque cam (name brand), headers, flowmasters, edelbrock performer intake/carb. as well as all new parts. right know i run stock 2.73 gears 1 tire fire, going to upgrade rest of drivetrain and change gears to posi once i find a posi unit for cheap. even with gears and non/posi i could beat just about any rice burner in town before engine rebuild, and it was only slightly modified. im not building the engine, but a friend of mine is at his shop, is there anything i should know or tell him about the 400? dont know how many 400's hes built..thanks, any help would be appreciated.

well A) this is in the wrong forum, should be in engine,
and B) without specific cam specs it's impossible to give a HP estimate
