? about the linkage on my 1405 Edelbrock

This might seem like a silly ? to some, but ill give it a shot anyway. The part of the carb that the accelerator cable attachess to has a 1/4 inch, and a 1/2 inch hole in it. And the accelerator cable i just purchased from LMC Truck, for my 76 GMC pu. also has a 1/4 inch hole in the end of it aswell. I just wondering what some of you used to hold the accelerator cable on the carb, to keep any slop out of it.

for about 5 - 10 bucks there is a linkage kit made by edelbrock? for carbs . that has stud mounts and balls and clips to fasten the cable to the linkage. has parts for all gm , ford, mopar, and kick down stuff. the stud uses hole is 1/4" or close to. maybe 7/32" stud ? and you slide the hole on the stud. then place a clip on outside to secure.

hly-20-38 ($4.88) is the throttle stud 7/32" thread check to make sure.

the adjustment comes from the clamp for the cable?

for auto's - make sure to attach a tv kick down cable or youll mess up your trans.

welcome to hotroding! it will always be like that. its a chess match between your minds engineering and the problem. when time isnt a factor your mind wins every time.
