ac display

so, in my 2002 Chrysler 300m, the ac unit above the radio, has gone out. it all still works and beeps to the touch of the buttons, but the lighting inside has gone out and i cannot see the temperature of the air or what i have on or not, its just an inconvenience id like to fix, but am stumped on a solution. does anyone else know how to handle this?

common problem on those. you will need a new HVAC control unit. Good used 1` will run $100 or so. Chrysler used them on many models so there not hard to find
