The motor is very easy to get to. Its mounted on the passenger side under the hood. If you have A/C there is a large black plenum for the A/C evaporator. Between the plenum and the passenger side fender you will see the tail end of the blower. It has an electrical connector and small vent tube connected to it.

There is also a high speed blower relay and the resistor pack that is used to adjust the speeds. All of them are mounted on the plenum and can be checked out and/or replaced from under the hood. There is also a power lead that runs across the top of the firewall, with a separate fuse. This provides direct 30 amp power to the high speed blower motor relay. On my truck this fuse heated up the fuse holder so much that it melted and came apart. I finally fixed it by switching to a newer style fuse holder and fuse.
