accel gen 7 & factory tbi

hey everyone, putting together a chevy 4.3 v6 with a whipple and tbi. with the boost levels im looking to make (15-17lbs) i was told to get away from the factory ecm and use a stand alone managment system. i have access to a gen 7 computer, harness and software for $500. the whipple is intended to a factory tbi (2 bbl with 2 injectors) so i was planning on using a factory throttle body from a 454 with whatever lbs injectors my tuner recommends. my question is will/can this managment system work with a factory tbi unit? all the throttle bodies that i see aftermarket offer are 4 bbl units, which wont bolt up to the whipple so that route isnt going to work. does anyone have experiance with this gen 7 system and what is everyones thoughtrs on this? thanks in advance for any info !

When looking for Big Block throttle body they are all same bore size but three differant injector sizes.
5235231 - Red / Blue - 80pph - 7.4L / 454 - 88-90

17084304 - Black / Blue - 76pph - 7.4L / 454 - 91-93

17104288 - Pink / Purple - 46pph @13psi - 7.4L / 454 - 94-95
*NOTE: Came with 30 PSI regulator used @ 26-32psi for 67-72pph

About the only thing I know about aftermarket EFI control units is after a few years they are paperweights and can't be repaired or replaced?

There are factory GM ECM with boost, Syclone and Typhone 1227749 with mask ID $58. There is also an enhanced version Code 59 that will run on 1227730 GM ECM.

If your looking for something to tune yourself with boost there is an option for GM ECM that also has VE learn.

Thanks for the info... Unfortunately this being my first run with efi and it being what it is half of what ya told me is Greek... Lol so ima google the crap outta what ya said... Someone on fullsizechevy.com suggested something called EBL flash.. Looks like a factory ECM but fully tunable from a lap top and no chips needing to be burnt.. It's a 1991 truck with OBD 1. Anyone ever heard or experience with this sorta thing?

EBL is highly regarded as one of the best tuning mods to a GM ECM. Dynamic EFI also has the best reputation and customer support. So you will be happy. Tell him I sent you!

it will prob. be a couple of months before i get to the point of calling and ordering... at this point in just trying to get to the point of an engine completed on a stand with a trans on order... heads and intake just got dropped off at the machine shop yesterday, and the whipple will be going there so it can breath easier once they are done... but once i call em and get it ordered i will be sure to tell em!!!
