Greetings. Requesting Diagnosis help....

I just recently procured a 1990 Dodge Shadow from a fella for my A->B (and hopefully back ) car. Although the car appears operational, there are a couple of things I noticed wrong. I checked Haynes Manual and Bulletin board, but am having difficulties since I don't have the experience to relate to other models' electrical patterns.

1. The heater/ac fan accessory has no power (I'll work this later,).
2. The power windows has no power. (This is what I'd like to address, I believe this is related to #1.).

Dumb Checks
- Power window motors connected directly to battery: OK.
- Switches connected to battery: OK.
- Power delivered straight to fuse panel: OK.

Diagnosis attempts:
- Fuse panel connects to 10-pin (5 pairs of 2) grey connector behind battery.
- Traced correct wires from fuse panel. wires are pair in middle which has no power. (second pair traced from heater accessory)
- Traced opposite connector wires to alternator and power steering unit on front axle.

Issues:
- Alternator checked In accordance with Haynes Manual: OK.
- Power steering: OK (wheels turn with minimal force at stop).

Tools on hand: Power light testor, Cable "Cat and Mouse", and Volt/Ohmmeter.

This is where my experience and the Haynes manual ends. If there is anyone with any good ideas, It would be greatly appreciated.

Tis is assuming you have checked all the fuses. You need a service manual for this problem. You might be able to get a copy of the pages you need from the library. By looking at the wiring diagram and seeing what does and doesnt work you can find the bad connection. It is real hard to find without the service manual. I had a celebrity once with a similar problem and the manual helped me see which connection point was bad. But it was in the middle of a 1 inch cable mass and with out the book I would have had to cut open a lot of cables to find it. The only other thing I can say to try is switch on something that doesnt work and bend and move the cables under the dash. If you hit the right point it might start working showing you where the bad connection is.

found problem...thanks for patience....The according to the manuals there are two identical circuits coming from the ignition; each one powering a column in the fuse box. I did some tests, and found out that one of the circuits within the central section of the electrical component of the ignition burned out...probably during gthe last owners attempts at some repair.

I since then moved the splice after the ignition, identical to prior except that its after the circuit board. Everything works now.

NOTE: figured out that the fuse power problem also caused my A/c Motor not to work as well as my rear window defogger.

Ok, now to tell me where I went wrong .
