Ack 20 inches of rain in CA 2 gallons in my ride!

Ok we've had some freakish weather here lately I opened the car out to check it out and AHHHHHH! there was about 2 gallons of water sitting behind the front seat. Frotunatly the carpets had been removed a while ago. After I dried it out I put the windows down to allow air flow but is there anything I should do the the floors to prevent rust?

Keep the windows shut, or fix where it is leaking 1st...............

Good primer and paint will help prtect it. That's more than they do at the factory.
