adapter plate for th350 chevy to BOP
does anyone know if I buy the adapter plate through summit to allow a chevy th350 to bolt up to my firebird 400 if I will have to cut my driveshaft?

|
the adapter is only a thin plate so you won't have to shorten anything. if you are a handy person you can make your own out of 1/8" steel. all the b.o.p trans line up pins are the same as the chevy's, so you sandwich the steel between the block and trans, drill the holes bolt them together and put 1/8" washers between the flywheel and the convertor and you have an adapter.

Bob is right on the money!!! With the change of only about 1/8 inch you won't have to shorten the driveshaft.
