Adjusting 1940 to 48 Ford Brakes
Hi Can anyone out there give me info about adjusting 1940 through 48 Ford front and rear brakes. Thank you !!!

Here is more then you will ever want to read about those brake systems. About 2/3rds of the way through this .pdf download are what they look like. It's a military manual, but says about what my old Motors Manual does but with more detail. You need to 'pick and choose' relative to what you have
There are three general adjustments: - the brake shoes should be "arced" to fit the drum (radiused) - the two bottom adjusters are used to help center the shoes - the uppers are for the final adjustment and you work it in conjunction with the bottom adjusters http://www.90thidpg.us/Reference/Man...%209-1827C.pdf Dave W |
