Adjusting the butterflies on a Holley?

How do I adjust the butterflies on a Holley 670 street avenger with vacuum secondaries to set the transition slots for a better idle?

Part of your tuning process involves removing the carb and adjsuting the secondary throttle stop from underneath. Crack that blade open about a half turn, so front and rear gaps are equal. Transfer slot in the front should have about .030 slot showing when adjusted right. (that slot should look square from underneath.)
What engine size? What cam and head combo are you running? You may need a small hole drilled in butterfly to bring that transfer slot down and lean your idlw mixture.

Engine is a 350 with 9.1 compression, comp magnum cam 286h, RHS 64cc vortec heads. I just dialed in the timing, I bought a MSD hei pro billet distributor, initial is 16*, 36* all in by 3000rpms, idle is about 800rpms.
