Adjusting the Hood Spacing, 1936 Plymouth, How?

The spacing on my 2 piece hood is not even. On the drivers side it is too close to the radiator housing & too far from the cowl. The passengers side is a little better. How is this adjusted?

I'm not sure, but I believe my 37 plymouth pickup should be close to the same as your 36 plymouth car. The 2 support rods that bolt onto the grille shell and bolt to either side of the firewall should be adjustable. Tighten the rod if there is a gap, and loosen it if you need more of a gap.
