OK guys I know that I will get some grief, but I am going to ask anyway. I just changed the cam in the Cougar (It had a Wolverine Blue Racer Cam and I changed to an Edlebrock Performer Plus) and I need to know the correct way to adjust the valves prior to startup. I have not done this for several years and previously it was just on Chevrolet's. I also added the GM style HEI and the internal regulated alternator while I had it apart. I just do not know about this Ford stuff. Thanks i appreciate the assistance.

There are a ton of threads on this. Do a search, there are some long replies that will tell you how.

Didn't EDELBROCK give you a sheet? It all depends on how the valvetrain has been modified (if it has been modified), solid or hydraulic.

Click on the link below. It's the best description on how to adjust the valve in a SBC that I have ever run across. It's the step by step process I used to do mine
EDIT: upon reading your first post, i see it must be a Ford we are talkin about, so just ignore the link. But I figure I would leave it up here just in case someone is looking for a good SBC valve link

I did find the sheet in the box after I got home from work this afternoon and I am going to do it this weekend. I did look at the threads and 98% of them have to do with Small Block Chevys which is normally what I play with and I knew how to do those, but this is the first time I have had a Small Block FORD for apart in over 25 years and was hoping some of the Ford experts on here could help me as I have help a number of people over the last couple of years. Thanks Kultuz for telling me to look where I should have looked in the first place.
