[Meangreen]

Ive been messing with my timing lately and havent been able to get things right. I first got a vacuum gague and set my carb to highest vacuum. Then i got a curve kit and used the weights and Mid springs it came. Then i set the timing to like 17. I thought 17 seemed a little high. What am i doing wrong. Should i use the lightest springs possible? This is in a 71 chevelle with a fairly hot 350, XE274 cam, roller rockers, 2200 stall and what not. Thanks for any help.
