They can be used with any style cam if the correct valve springs are installed. The 210's are mainly for very large cams & higher rpm range. The 195's would be a better Street/Strip head. AFR's flow very well with smaller ports.

IMO
Some of that roller cam recommendation is that to take advantage of that head with high lift and long duration will require very stout springs, which in turn will destroy flat tappet cams, unless nitrided and using oil hole face lifters. Still rollers will make more power. More than 300# over the nose times 1.5+ rockers, will smoke a flat tappet cam unless precautions are taken. |
