I would have to agree with corenle, if you go with the 383 I would use 195-210, I'm using 210s on a 327 they are a great set of heads. All depending on the set up you want. If you want a good street engine with low end torque 195s if you wan that high rev deap breathing race track machine I would go 210. And probably a torque converter with a stall speed around 3000-3500.
But this is just my opnion.
