Post After Market Cruise Control

I am considering installing cruise control on my 37 Ply. I looked at an electronic package made by Global for $230 that would require a generator off the trans and a steering column control to make the package complete. Does anyone know of other manufacturers that make these systems that I can check out?

Just curious? Do you use cruise control on your modern ride? Most guys who build want to actually drive their cars so cruise is kinda counter to the idea?

Fro long trips cruise keeps you from going to fast and getting into trouble (or to slow!). I enjoy driving my car, but when taking trips of more than an hour on the interstate, I enjoy it even more with cruise! Go to www.jcwhitney.com and buy a complete unit for $110 - $240. The $110 version is from Audiovox and mounts on the dash. Comes with a pickup to use the vehicle VSS or the old magnets on the driveshaft if you don't have a VSS. $230 and you have to buy extra stuff is a bit much!

Yeah, I gave up on radar detectors, etc., when I got a car with CC. WAY less stress. I also thought CC was counter to driving, but I love it now. I added it to my old car & my truck since then. (Equus units, no longer in production unfortunately)
