Why is it when you are hitting your 30's you don't want people to know you are that old. But when you get to your 60's, people ask your age and you tell them you are pushing 70. Maybe it's because we can't believe we made 60.

I don't feel any different than I did at 20, I just had 32 more operation since I was 40, and I take a lot more pills.

In 1970 I lived in Miami n gas was about 80 cents for Sunoco 260,I used to mix that stuff with Avgas 115/145,I got the avgas free,I worked on recip aircraft engines then n we had to drain the tank sumps in DC7s after the gas truck came,we always drained a little bit too much!

Was Sunoco 260 that much more expensive? I remember regular at the local cut rate station at 0.25 per gallon when I was in college in 1971.

I think of how I felt about 23 cent gas when I grew up with $1 gas... and then I think of how my kids are going to think about $1 gas with whatever the price is by the time they're teens, which is 10 years from now.

I'm just starting to get my boy to understand that when he gets $1 from the tooth fairy, he can't get much more than 1 candy bar with it.
