RE: Ah, the joys of not having shelter for your car
I hear ya! At least you have a garage. I had to go out to measure something on my corvair today for a part I'm ordering, and we got 2 inches of snow last night
I had to clean all that off the cover before I could get to it to measure. I know, some of you will say "stop whining!", but plans for the garage are on hold for now---I guess '06 doesn't look promising either $$$!Hope there's no hail damage

I had spent all day in garage putting four wire harnesses in the vette from front to rear a job I just plain hate doing especially under the dash. Get all done and they announce tornado warnings for Canton. I told my wife, go figure now a tornado will take out the Garage since I have the wiring done. All we got was rain. |

I thought the weather men were never wrong. I remember a pretty decent sized hail storm we had about a year ago. Made a heck of a noise as it bounced off my car driving home, and I only have a 1 1/2 stall garage, and there was a car I was working on inside at the time. I have enough bodyfiller on the car, but it wasn't on the top panels for extra dent protection. I was shocked the next day, I didn't see any hail dents. Nowing my luck if I would have found a large shelter or tree to park under, I would end up with a large limb falling on it instead.

I restored and painted a 62, 3/4 ton Chevy PU with no shelter at all. Not even a car port or slab of concrete. I was spot painting my Honda del sol last week and a gust of wind blew lawn debris all over the wet paint. Pissed me right off. Try having to pack up all of your body working tools and paint every time it threatens rain. Or masking your vehicle in preparation for paint then having it rain. lol.....
