Air Bags get Traction?

i am building a restomod that goal is all around driveability. '61 full size Pontiac nearly 4,000 pounds. rear suspension is stock design 4 link which is a good design. i have tubular rear control arms with poly bushings to replace stock channeled arms.

i am considering replacing coil springs on all 4 corners with air bags for ride comfort and flexibility. properly setup, these suspensions have been proven to be able to handle fantastic, and of course cruise like a magic carpet.

i'm wondering though.... what is the effect to traction at launch?

527hp/550tq with TKO600 tranny & 3.90 posi. tires are only 245, so i am traction limited, unless i put slicks in for a 1/4 visit.

should be fine

should be fine you might if you can but a little more are in passenger bag and raise the front up. Next time you get tiers you might try a drag radial. I have a 55 with 235 bfg and get one wheel up.
