Question Air Cleaner Question

I want to change out my stock air cleaner, Since I seem to have a bit of heat under the hood will this give me problems with carberation? Should I look into fabricating come sort of cool air system? Or should I continue to use the stock unit with a "snorkel" to the front of the car. Also is there a good way of venting heat under a long hood?

As far as switching the air cleaner,I don't know, but I think H.K. recomended louvering the inner wheel wells to alleviate heat problems and improve air flow thru the engine compartment.Maybe this will help?Bruce
