I was a service manager at a 10 bay Goodyear tire store. We had 2 10hp compressors. They had some kind of a switch on them, that one ran and built up air, when it shut off and needed air again the other one ran. So one ran one time, then the other. They took turns supplying air.
I set up a similar system at a Kentucky mine years ago but honestly if that much air is needed then a screw compressor is the way to go.
