Air filter system

Hi folks. Well I'm getting ready to gear up my shop to do some painting. My question is about this system.
It say it provides breathing air, but can a Person trust one of these systems. Being that it's from Devilbiss, I trust the name, But is it good enough to bet my life on.
This is the System below, and Thanks in advance...Randy

It may be certified for particulates in breathing air, but it still needs a carbon monoxide detector. Piston compressors produce carbon monoxide when the lube oil burns off the rings of the piston when the compressor is hot.

I think you are right not to want to bet our life on something. There are a lot of things to consider, and I agree that carbon monoxide is a pretty important factor. What type of filtering does it offer.

Anytime, I am building something that requires this much attention to detail, I always like to consult the pros. You might be able to find someone via angieslist.com that has the ability to show you exactly what you need. That will include what the unit you are considering has and doesn't have. It's always better safe than sorry!
