Air fittings

I recently replaced my paint hose fittings with larger 3/8" ones
for my HVLP gun, made a big difference.
The other day I hooked my impact wrench to it and HOLY COW!!!
it has twice the power, even at the same psi.
It never worked this good, even when upping the pressure.
If you have a air tool that doesn't seem to be as strong as it should be
try these bigger fittings, it's not more psi, it's more cfm.

there is a big difference between volume & pressure.

A good example would be a garden hose & a pressure washer

JC, It's kinda funny but it seems that most folks think of CFM last, if at all, when considering air tool performance. The 1/4" fittings are by far the most commonly used and I have always wondered why that is for the very reason you mention.
