Air Fuel Ratios

Hello, I'm Sharkee and found Royce's info on the Holley very good. It jibed with what I thought and confirmed my 950 Braswell carb for me. It has 1.38" venturies and the larger base plate. I knew 850s weren't very good atomizers.... My ride has a newly built 454 SBC Corvette Shark (like the Motown design) but with an Iron Eagle tall deck block.

My interest today is idle circuit/transfer circuit lean running. I want the econo carb performance cruising but with a DP ? Just investigating what Braswell does to the interior circuit of the B-ware units. They seem to be 13 to 1 all the time! (My particular expertise is in exhaust, i.e. Finite Amplitude Wave Scavenging Technology.
