air shocks
I'm thinking about putting air shocks in my 89 gmc c1500 to lower it a bit (with the option to go back to stock ride hight) without spending a ton on air bags. I am also installing a 4 link.
I need to know- are they any good how much will they lower my truck will they screw up the rest of my suspension do they ride nicely can i use them with a compressor like air bags, just smaller any recomended brands Thanks alot for any help!! |
Air shocks will not hold up the truck by themselves.

It depends on how full they are, the ride quality. My chevelle has them on the back (i didn't put them there either) and so it looks somewhat respectable I have to keep them cranked up a little. At 80 psi, it looks ok, but rides like a lumberwagon. Or if drop the pressure to 40, the ride softens up, then the driver side sags a lot, it isn't cool.
