Airbag Light

I removed my OEM steering on my 2001 Camaro and replaced it with an aftermarket one, my question is does anyone how bypass the airbag light with out having to reinstall the airbag? Im thinking about taking out the instrument panel and seeing if I can bypass the light but I would prefer not to do it in case that the instrument panel maybe damaged.

If your going to get into the panel why not just remove the appropriate bulb? No more light.

if its not a bulb that can be removed, find out what the resistance across the airbag is, buy a resistor, and put it in place of the bag. Dont recommend putting your DVOM across the bag though , but if you do, maybe put a long set of leads on it. Ohmmeter puts a small current out though what its testing, and it COULD, although not likely, set it off.
