All 62 Impala/Bel Air Info (4dr Only)

I don't want to sound like a leech or something, but since buying my project, I have found info on 100's of cars, but barely any for this body style. Whenever I call someone, they'll basically tell me good luck when it comes to getting a full quarter panel (including the piece under the door). So I figured that I'd use some of my personal (unused) web space to create a homepage full of the 4dr Ht body style info (which I have yet to find much). If there is anyone who has info on this body style, please let me know so I can have a place for others to learn as they get to know me as an individual.

INFO NEEDED:

* 1962 Chevy Impala/Bel Air
* 4door
* Hardtop/sedan

Parts for 4 drs are not as available because they are not as popular as the 2 drs. However, you can get parts cheaper at wrecking yards etc, for the same reason.

I had a lot of the same problems with my 62 Canadian Pontiac.........The body parts are not the same as the American cars.....had to make most parts.

BTW..I looked at your pics in your intro....Your car is a sedan not a hardtop. A hardtop has no post between the side windows.

poncho62, You are right ,his car is a 4dr sedan. Got my first car when I was 14. It was a 1962 IMPALA 4dr sedan with 90,000 miles one owner my great aunt. It had a 283 powerglide,p/s p/b,ac,I had a lot of fun in it.I put chrome reverse with baby moons all around,lifted rear with air shocks and had L60X15 tires in rearand of course a cherry bomb. Chromed out the engine and other under hood parts.Wish I had a picture of it.Here is a pic of an SS I owned later.I have had 3 all together.Two where 2dr hard tops.
