If this shope is a "customs" shop and can't do a full steel tilt I'd pack up my vehicle and take it elswhere. One of the building blocks of a customs shop is the ability to create and adapt. If they have done other tilt front ends, with a little common sence you can adapt that knowledge to this application. If I were you I'd have serious doubts on the abilities of the shop your working with.

Patience is a virtue. I am incredibly busy and havn't the luxory to stay and type an adequate reply to specific question such as this at times. Tilt front ends are about as specific as saying I drive a GM product. This being said, answering the question would involve 3-4 replys because to fully exsplain the process I need to know your skill level and ability, what you exspect as a result and what you plan to do with the vehicle. I simply cannot spend that much time typing a reply to something that can wait untill later while I have things that must be finished at an aproaching deadline for a paying polight customer. Just as I replied in your PM, I would be happy to help if you have a more precise question, but I simply don't have the time to sit and type a two page exsplanation that could possibly be in vain because I didn't take the time to learn exactly what your skill level may be.

Secondly, a new shop or old, if you are entering the competetive world of customizing you better know the basics or you will not last long. Before entering any competetive career you should learn you stuff before you dive in. Vehicle customizing isn't a forgiving enough career to "Learn as you go". To stay on top you have to keep the customizing comunity in awe with your work, not being able to do a simple customization deffinatly relays to me that this shop wil not be in business for long. Judging from your defensive nature of the reply, you have some personal involvment in this shop or with its owners. If so, so be it. I will not apologize for the simple truth. Take it however you wish, custructive critasism or insult, but I will not appologize for an obvious observation.

I do, however, have a question for you. ou stated the shop was new and didn't have a request for a tilt front end. What would they do if they did have a request for one? If they don't know how to do it, they simply don't know how to do it and a request for that specific job won't, through osmosis, magically give them the knowledge. Its perfectly alright if they don't know how to do it, but if that preticular shop doesn't, then they should find another line of work. Its a "You either have it or you don't" type business. I don't know how to build a monster of an engine, I'll be the first person to tell you, thats why my business says "challenging sheetmetal creations". People know when they come to me that I won't build them a full turnkey.

Your right, it is spelled "shop", I appologize for rushing to offer my help to potentially save you from being ripped off, next time I will hold my tongue. If you really want to get down to the nitty gritty and get exstremely picky because I offerd my help, I could do the same. There are ample gramatical errors in your last post shown below, but I choose to read and offer my help instead of pick apart a post and judge the person who wrote it from one single moment in his or her life.

If you would like to continue this feel free to do so, but I do have better things to do. On the other hand if you would like to receive help the offer is still on the table. If not, feel free to add me to your ignor list because there are many other ladies and gentlman that have requested help that I have yet to help because I am here typing an exsplanation for your assumtion and I can finally get to them. Happy Rodding.

I would just like to go on record in saying that "I am ashamed that old c10 head is from Texas" a la the Dixie Chicks.

Sounds like somebody is trying to make a little money off of someone by trying to do a little side work in his garage---sorry I mean "Shope."

As much as HK does around here and someone has the audacity to disrespect him in such a way only shows what our world is coming to.

Well, Mabank is the bigger of the two. I personally live on the lake in Gun Barrel City. Mabank is easier to find on a map then Gun Barrel City. It is all becoming the Cedar Creek Lake Area anyway!
