Post all those holes

I am new to the game of hot rodding!!!!!
I have had a 305 chevy rebuilt
now its sitting in my project car
Where do all the bits of hose, oil gauge, temp gauge, heater hoses. GO?

Is there a decent book that details all the lines and hose connections.

What are all the holes in the intake manifold for. Its an Edelbrock 2104. They don't really help me.

well to tell you the honest truth i couldnt help but smile a little, why havent you noticed where they came from in the firdt place... anyway. it is not too difficult to figure out hook up the carb to the fuel line. then the mose from your pcv valve (in the head cover) goes to the one of the vacum port on the carb, and so does the modulator (im a ford man myself so i cant remember if there is one on a th400) and the vacum on the manifold gos to your brake booster (possibly vipers or headlights if they are vacum operated also) and the wire from the oil-gauge coes on the oilpressure switch and so on and sofourth. (the edelbrock insructions even show what hooks up and where on the carb. and when you are done and dont have any loose wires or hoses left in the engine compartment. plug the rest of the holes in the carb and manifold and your set to fire it up (dont forget the water and oil plus the cam break-in ..)
