Almost got burned

I ran across a pile of Kent-Moore tranny tools on ebay for cheap. Seller claimed they were for the 700R4/4L60. In the pile I spotted the input shaft teflon ring installer and resizer, plus a low/reverse piston compressor, which I wouldn't mind having for my next rebuild. I finally called Kent-Moore and they were kind enough to look up ALL the numbers that the seller had listed and all but 2 were for the 4T60 and 65 front wheel drive trannys. Glad I did some homework before bidding! The 2 pieces for the 700 were plastic seal protectors, maybe worth two bucks!

Lesson well learned, always ask first, then look it up to verify!

Yeah, it's definately buyer beware with E-Bay. I've been lucky, so far!

I guess I should have bought it anyways. I had emailed the guy and asked for a 'buy it now' price and he said fifty bucks! I then found out that lots of the parts were for the front wheel drive trans and changed my mind. Long story short, come to find out that the seal installer and resizer were for the 700! The whole pile ended up selling for $168!!! sigh! Oh well.
