Almost got burned
I ran across a pile of Kent-Moore tranny tools on ebay for cheap. Seller claimed they were for the 700R4/4L60. In the pile I spotted the input shaft teflon ring installer and resizer, plus a low/reverse piston compressor, which I wouldn't mind having for my next rebuild. I finally called Kent-Moore and they were kind enough to look up ALL the numbers that the seller had listed and all but 2 were for the 4T60 and 65 front wheel drive trannys. Glad I did some homework before bidding! The 2 pieces for the 700 were plastic seal protectors, maybe worth two bucks!
Lesson well learned, always ask first, then look it up to verify! Mark |
