What was that you had to do in order to pull a link from one place and put it in another website? I forgot. Sorry. HG

If you want you can also link on HR.com by copying and pasting the address shown in the properties of photos you post in your photo album. Just be sure to navigate to the page the photo is on and then right click and select properties, then highlight the address shown in the properties box and copy. Use the "image" button to paste the web address into.

This is how you can have items in your photo album appear on your posting like so;

Wow, if you click on properties on the small picture on your main photo album page, instead of on the actual big picture, you get a small picture here.

The photo in your photo album is where you right click and select "properties", this is where you will find the web address that accurately locates the photo...the address you want is in the little dialog box that pops up when you right click and select properties.

If you use the address in the title bar it will give you the web page (and a little red X) not the individual photo like you want.

P.S. Make sure you use the "IMG" button below the post box to post your photo.

Clear as mud?

HG and 38! I don't mean to butt in here but If you are using Windows 98 or M E and XP I think, You also can copy TeX and Graphics (like picture, you might find on the Internet) or the continence of an E-mail And see what you have copied be for sending it if you wish. Here how:
We are going to use what is called the CLIP BOARD VIEWER. It is very easy to use and once you have did so you will use it a lot. I must tell you that not every thing on the net will allow you to copy it. But by hook or crook it also can be copied, will get into that at a later date if you would like. OK here goo's (1) Put the arrow over the START and press the LEFT mouse button one time. A window with programs appears, scroll up to PROGRAMS slide over to (look and see if Clip Board Viewer is in the list to the right, if so click on it. If not continue) ACCESSORIES then slid over to SYSTEM TOOLS (or it may be in INTER TOOLS) scroll down or up to CLIP BOARD VIEWER and press the LEFT mouse button one time. A blank window will appear, at the top it will say CLIP BOARD VIEWER. Now MINIMIZE it and now it is at the bottom of your screen . (now you now how to find it. But if it isn't there, then SEARCH for it just like a file or folder. In the HUNT for box just type in CLIP BOARD VIEWER. When it is found, you will see a SHORT CUT you can put it on your disk top so you can use it really quick. Just click on the Disk top Icon at the lower Left side of your screen, now put the arrow on the short cut and press and hold down the LEFT mouse button while you slid it (DRAG) over and on to your desk top and then release the button. Any where on the disk top is OK as you can move it to where you want it later.) Now that we have the CBV located, we will go to step # 2 HG,38,Just follow along! It ant no big thing and you'll like it later OK!#2by using the>ctrl<key and the "C" key on your key board too copy and the >ctrl<key and the "V"key on your key board to Past. Hears how: Find something you want to copy like a E_MAIIL or MESSAGE (the one you are reading would be a good one to copy and save) Place the ARROW at the upper left hand corner of this Message, press and hold down the LEFT mouse button and at the same time scroll down the MESSAGE, it will Highlight the Message as you scroll down, (don't let the button up until you have Highlighted all that you wanted to copy or save to the CBV, if you let the button up and then deiced to copy more of the Message and press the button again it will cancel all that you have highlighted, and then you will have to start all over again.) (you will notice that at the bottom of the message you can just hold it still (with the button down) and the message will scroll up by its self, but you must START at the top first!) Now that every thing you want copied is Highlighted you may let the button up. Place the ARROW on any part that is Highlighted, do not press either of the mouse buttons just leave the arrow there for now. On the KEY BOARD find the > Ctrl< key and the "c" key. Press them booth down and hold them down, THEN press the left mouse button one time. OK so let's see if you did copy the message. Remember you put the CPV at the bottom of your screen, so go down there and maximize it.put the arrow on the box in the middle and press the left mouse button one time. the CLIP BOARD VIEWER will appear, and if you did as I have instructed the copied Message will be there, Now at this point I would like to say that, there are a lot of things that you can do with this copied Message. Like: you could save it to your NOTE PAD OR to your WORD PAD and then save it to you document folder. You can also insert it in a E-Mail and send it to whom ever you wish. You can also do both as the CBV will retain the copied message until you: either copy over it or you SHUT THE MACHINE OFF. Even if you should close your I S P and then you have only your DISK TOP working, it will still be there at the bottom of your screen on your Try. (If you don't need or don't want it any more at that time just CLICK the X box .) Let's try the WORD PAD! As you remember the message is copied and on your CBV. Now: with the ARROW left click the >START one time, scroll up to >PROGRAMS, slide over to >ACCESSORIES slide over to >WORD PAD and press the LEFT mouse button two times. The Word Pad will appear on your screen. you will see a small vertical line at the upper left hand corner that is flashing on and off. (if not just put the arrow there and press the left mouse button one time. And it will appear.) OK now on the key board find the -- >Ctrl <key and the "v" key and AT THE SAME TIME PRESS THEM DOWN ONE TIME (don't hold them down as this may put the message on the word pad more than once). Now the Message is on the Word Pad. To save the Message: just move the arrow over the X at the upper right hand corner of the Or Pad window and press the left mouse button one time. It will ask you if you want to save changes to the document. Put the arrow over the YES and press the left mouse button one time. A save as, window will appear (a long box with a down arrow at the right side marked >SAVE IN< I would chose the DOCUMENT folder) If so all that is in the Document folder will be listed in the big box under that. And still under that box is another long box marked >NAME< just type in the name you want to give to the message. Now put the arrow over the button marked >save< and press the left mouse button one time. It is now in the Document folder and you can go look at it or send it or what ever, at any time.
Now we are going to insert it in an E_MAIL.
Put your E_MAIL program on the screen>like you were going to compose an E_MAIL.<now you can type a note or what ever. And then when you want the message (Remember, the CBV is still there at the bottom on the try, and you have not copied over the message or deleted the CBV.IF SO!) then on the key board find the >ctrl< key and the >v< key and press the left mouse button one time. AND now you can see it is there in your composed e-mail as though you just type it there.

I hope this is helping in some way. It may seam to elementary but nothing was meant by it ------------------------------------Gene Neal

Gene,
I'll trade a lesson with you. I tried what you said and it worked out great but I am the type that likes to use the mouse to is fullest.

[quote]but you must START at the top first!) Now that every thing you want copied is Highlighted you may let the button up. Remember you put the CPV at the bottom of your screen, so go down there and maximize

Here is a way to eliminate pressing the Control "C" and the control "V" for the copy and paste.
Bring up the clip board viewer.
Now either minimize it or half size it.
Using the left mouse button, drag across this text and highlite it as you did in your example.
Right click your mouse and copy.
Now go back to the clip board viewer and maximize it.
What you just copied is already there without hitting the Control "C".

All this does is eliminate using the keyboard to copy.

Kevin

Thumbs up

Thanks! Kevin, for the update. As I said there are many ways to copy, Here is yet another: After highlighting all that you want to copy, place the arrow on any part of the highlighted area and press the RIGHT mouse button two times. A window with a choice of operations appears. Scroll down with the arrow and select COPY. Now go look at your CBV and you will see all that you had highlighted. (this way you don't have to use either key) While we are talking about the Right mouse button, if you are having trouble opening an attachment just put the arrow on the attachment code and press the Right mouse button two times, a window with a choice of operation will appear. Select OPEN! this will open a lot of things that you might not have opened other wise.
I hope it is permissible to send a Christmas Card!
This is for all the good people on this board. I do enjoy reading all the post's. Just open it! it is clean I promise. BELOW
