Alsa Corp Chrome

We finally painted the scatter shield in Alsa Corps Chrome. It came out pretty good and we'll paint the engine and trans in the next few weeks. Heres a short video of the painting. http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p...kToChrome1.flv

That's pretty impressive. I can't find any mention of Alsa Chrome on the forum. Can you give us a little lowdown on cost, preparation requirements, cure time etc. Also, do you have experience with how well it holds up?

Problems with alsa chrome?

Hey, as for the lowdown on ALSA mirror chrome, you can go to www.alsacorp.com. I have used the chrome before to do art work and have trouble with adhesion. Tape pulled some of it off. With out anything to "bite" into(paint on a slick, black surface). Some buddy's of mine have done the proper procedures on bikes, yes, plural, and then cleared over the chrome, tape off artwork, then, when they removed the tape, it pulled the clear and chrome off to the first coat of clear. Those are the only issues I have know off. I have done some cool stuff with it on parts that are not getting taped on. The stuff is really cool. How are you painting the block with it? What are you using to protect it? The stuff looks AMAZING with candy's on it.

Outside of the shocks we painted, this was the next thing we did, that didnt need masking. I'll pass on what happened to you to Abe , thats been doing all the prep work and paint. Thanks for the info. I'll let you know when we paint the block.

I wonder how the Alsa Chrome will stand up to the heat of the engine block? Nice work so far. That stuff is beauty-ful!
