Alternator wiring setup

Well i made a very very basic wiring harness for my little hot rod. It's basically all ford components.. The wiring harness is mostly all finished minus the part which the alternator connects. On the back of the alternator theres a positive and negative terminals where I'm pretty sure i can figure out where they go. But there are also 2 small prongs close together which i'm unsure where they go to.

I was thinking they might possibly go to a voltage regulator or something of that sort but i'm still partially unsure how even the voltage regulator wires in. I have the regulator which came on the truck that the alternator is out of so i might be able to get it all to work.. I was just curious if someone could help me with what the 2 prongs were on the alternator are for and if it is for a volt. regulator how would i integrate that into my wiring harness?
