Alum. Intake

Hello...I am wanting to paint my alum. intake to match the rest of the engine. It is a new intake so I prep will be minimum. Do I need to use an epoxy primer and then paint. Or can I just spray a primer on it and then paint. thanks for the help.

I've painted several without any primer and they turned out great! The paint always seems to fade no matter how many coats or what kind of paint I've used, even the high temp. stuff.

There is an old thread that discussed the best way to do this. Think it was Powder coating. May do a search and find it.
