Aluminum Rad

Looking around for an aluminum radiator to replace my stock one which wasīnt keeping up with the heat I settled for one from Jegs.
Itīs not something Iīm going to look at everyday but even at 179.00
dollars I expected something better than this.
The gripe is the standard of welding, looks like it was done by a total novice.

aluminum radiator

I also have a jegs raddiator but my welds look nothing like that. They do look pretty bad. Mine looks like a small row of cions( thats what its supposed to look like right?), but i got mine last december as a present from my girlfriend.

Could be worse...

I would have it pressure tested and if it passes then you can make a shroud to hide the nastiness. If you are a perfectionist, (I would not reccommend doing this on a radiator) you could possibly grind the welds down a little bit.

In the end I would think that if it kept it cool it has done it's job.

Like I said itīs not something Iīm going to look at everyday.
Itīs in now and when I get the top restraint/cover made it will be out of sight. Hopefully it will do itīs job.
The unprofessional welding really irked me.
