Red face Aluminum Transfer Case

I own a 1983 Ford F-150 SuperCap, and I am planning to part this truck out because it is in very bad shape. I know someone who would like an Aluminum Transfer case because his is blown out, how do I find out if I have an Aluminum Transfer Case? Is there an Identification Number or a plate that will tell me, Please Help Me!

The easiest way to tell is by sight (color difference between alum. and cast).

If it is covered by mud and grease, clean off a small spot and put a magnet againt the housing.

On Ford trucks from '80-'86 they ran two diffrent t-cases an borg warner 1345 and an NP 208 both of them are aluminum so you will need to find out wich one he needs.
