Not a Trans Am piece, its for drag racing. Probably a Group19(AMC's performance parts division) part. Would have been made in the late 60's or very early 70's. Doesnt look original either, I believe those Dominator mounting flanges have been added by someone other than AMC.
What do you intend to do with it?

It makes for a good door stop...LOL Probably going to sell it. It will need spacers to fit on a production block. Here is some more pics of it.
