These are the actors: American Graffiti (1973) - Full cast and crew
If I remember right, Bo Hopkins was signing right next to Candy Clark at the Nats when she was there that year

Cars ?

Where are all the rods and customs that were in the movie ? A few years a go I stopped at a garage in the farm country
east of Gilroy Ca and there was a chopped 57 Ranchero in the car port. The guy said it was in the movie. I have never taken the time to look for it.

Off hand, I don't remember a 57 Ranchero in the movie, but there were a lot of cars coming and going through out the move......

So..... what's up with the wheel and tire combo, the supercharger, the turn signals, passenger side mirror, anodized fittings, disc brakes and color matched frame?

royalities

I read Wolf Man Jacks story, At first He thought He would have to pay to be in the movie as an advertizing fee for his radio program , but said most of the actors just got minimum union wages but collected royalities, I think Jack got like $ 2500 wages but raked in over a hundred grand in the next year.

Really hard to find hi res photos to work with from movies this old .........would love to see it come out on BluRay and be able to capture some stills from the movie. This was a work of love for the movie and not trying to be perfect or factual in all aspects ...hope you can adjust.

I have watched this movie quite a few times,I got my first car in '62 graduated from High School in '63 I think rather than it being "corny" it showed we lived in simpler times where we cruised the Drive-Ins and enjoyed life just hanging out, most of us had no clue that was about to change and fast.Just around the corner was the full blown entry in to the Viet Nam war and the british invasion of music. In April of 1964 I joined the Army as a mechanic and ended up in Germany while many of my buddies from basic were off to war some of them never to return or come back wounded for life.More American Graffiti 2 touched on that subject and made it real, a lot of people do not care for the sequel because it makes a statement.Being in Germany we were somewhat isolated from the war in Asia and I was shocked when I returned in March of '67 to be greeted by the great unwashed long hairs calling me a "baby killer" in the airports and train stations on the way home,America changed so much in that era and not in a positive way we "lost our innocence" so to speak too it's bad we could not have stayed "corny".Thankfully we have found a new patriotism and todays troops are welcomed home and called heros.

Amazon has it I think. It's not a bad movie just different than the original. Watch the movies back to back and it will make sense
