Angel Eye Halo HID conversions
I have been wanting to upgrade my headlamps to HID. I saw some "angel eye" HID setups for sale, and they look pretty good.I realize some mods will be needed for the headlamp bucket to fit the projector/lens/housing...no problem.
Anyone here seen them? Anyone Using them? I just noticed that they are listed as" HID Look"... with Halogen bulbs.Still brighter than the old incandescents that came stock. |

After some more looking, I have decided to abandon the quest for an TRUE HID setup due to the complexity (and no doubt cost) to get the proper projector type housings and xenon bulbs.Bummer.
I guess a halogen bulb would be the best bet. Using a dual set of relays is going to be appropriate as the halogens draw more current than incandescents, thus overloading the circuit breaker in the headlight switch on my 64. Thanks to all for looking. |
