I was already settled on getting a comp XR280R solid roller cam for my 468 big block with 10:1 cr, ported 781 heads(2.19/1.88), forged bottom end, 8-850cfm holly carb, RPM intake, 2" headers with 3" exhaust,th350 with 3000 stall, 3.42-3.73 rear gears with 26" tall tires. But now I'm not sure if the dynamic cr will be low enough for pump gas with the XR280R cam and my 10:1 scr. I was thinking of going with the howards 121313-12 instead since it will have a broader power band and better idle with the 112lsa vs. comp's 110. my dcr wit the comp should be around 7.9 and the howards should drop it to 7.5 which i heard is better for BBC's on pump gas w/ iron heads. Do you guys agree? and what kind of power difference can i expect with the Howards over the Comp?
