Another Dumb Question
Just started to sand down 2 front fenders just purchased for 48 Plymouth. I have never run into this before. During sanding I found bondo on major joints that had fiberglass cloth installed in it. Is this a way to eliminate welding or was this a cheap way of fixing a fender?

Instead of patching in metal, they used the glass cloth. Now in some instances it may hold up well. Alot depends on the skill of the person who did the work. But patching with metal is the strongest way to go.
