Another newbee
Hi- new to the forum. I'm an old drag racer and current tractor puller, have been wanting a rod for 30 years. Bought and sold a few projets, but never found the "right" car, which for me is a '40 Ford. Found my car today, a '40 deluxe coupe, from an 82 year old man, been in a barn since 1964. Here we go!

Short term goal is to get it running and safe- good brakes, fuel system, exhaust, glass. The interior will get redone. Not going to paint it yet. Really not interested in a modernized rod- the '49 Merc motor will stay, as well as suspension. Just want a decent cruiser for now.
