Another Saturday spend thrashin' in the Garage!!

Well, spring has sprung and summer can't be far behind!! And I'm still spending every spare minute trying to finish project RUMBLER for a little Stylin' and Profilin'!! I got the little 327 set in today and I'm starting to piece things together! Here's a couple of pics for those interested!!

Lookin good! I wish my engine looked like that, all my stuff seems to coat itself with oil and grime.

Your car= "wow nice engine!"

My truck= "hey buddy, need a rag?"

comet boy 03-27-2004 10:15 PM

Fastchevy didn't you say in a another thread your engine is held together with silicon instead of gaskets. maybe thats why

"In my truck the whole engine has been rebuilt with silly-cone holding it together. It doesn't seem to have any problems"

OddRodder 03-27-2004 10:19 PM

Thanks FAST! Hey, I've had some pretty grungy engine compartments myself!! Don't sweat it! It sounds like you're daily driver is your hot-rod also? That's rough!!

comet boy 03-27-2004 10:32 PM

OddRodder do you have a straight axle under that thing.

FASTCHEVY 03-27-2004 10:35 PM

lol the steering box had been leaking, undercoating the whole left side of the truck, good thing that leak-stop worked!
When I got it, the valve covers just had bolts holding them down and no clips/bars (what do you call those things?) so that's prob why it's so grungy.

It's not much of a hot rod, it looks like a 2WD military truck.

I would post some pics of it, but I don't really care to hear what killer thinks about it, and I'm sure he would say something.

comet boy 03-27-2004 10:38 PM

post the pictures anyways.

OddRodder 03-27-2004 11:07 PM

Yeah Comet! It's a straight axle out of a 68' chevy van!

badknuckles 03-27-2004 11:10 PM

I painted one of my motors yellow once, and all my friends laughed at it. How come you can get away with it?

Maybe, I just have a**holes for friends.
