There was some idiot shooting off a shotgun across the street from my kids' elementary school 2 weeks ago (supposedly some high school kid was trying to scare away some kids smoking pot behind his house). The elementary school was locked down until the cops figured out what was going on. We knew nothing about it (besides what the kids told us, wasn't very accurate 'cause nobody told them crap) until the next day on the news. GREAT communications in our school system!
