Here's the best advice I can give you....research and purchase the best parts you can afford, assemble the engine the best way you know how. Then accept the horse power that it puts out..........and enjoy it.

Use Comp 282S instead of 280H

More of a street machine than a race car. But not a daily driver.

everyone has a budget,,,
do you want more horse power or lower costs?
where is the priority.
cheapest engine is to just buy a rebuilders 350 vortec with a slightly more aggressive cam,if they will allow and still give warranty,
then add a typhoon intake
decent carb 650 cfm
1 5/8s headers
drive it
add 3.36 gears and a 2200 stall converter if you want spirited acceleration with an auto

We'll pretty much out of money for a min. He already ordered the. Is
heads new from a private party. I hand lapped the valves in. Installed the heads a daddy intake yesterday. As for the cam it's in. The rockers he already has. I wanted to build ad close to a performer rpm engine with the components he had. He knows he will need a stall. As for carb he had a 600 eddy. Would a tha650 Jolley be sufficient?
Thanks guys!

Has anyone used the FEL-PRO 1255 intake gaskets? On this combination?
I had a little trouble with this. Intake was a little tough to line up. I'm hoping these thicker gaskets will seal.
