Larrys Performance?

I saw them in Chevy High performance and they seem to offer a good price for what you get. Has anybody ever heard of them? They are in Calif.

Never used a Larry's engine, but have a bad taste for Big Al's Toy Box. He builds Blower motors in the NE area (either Conneticut or Vermont) and I have a customer that has had to have 2 replaced because of broken crap inside that damaged other things. He said they'll go 100,000 miles with regular maintenance, but Don has only gotten less than 140 miles combined from 2 engines. He hasn't even had them anywhere but from the shop,to a car show (the first one went south at about49 miles) where it was towed home and the second one lasted a few miles longer and broke a something taking his kid to school. A large chunk of change for that type of longevity. He took care of the first one, but is charging shipping costs, which from Ill. is also pricey. So far the 3rd engine hasn't been fired, I think he may be a little gun shy. He had it built there because of the schmooze job he got (at that few miles it should have been fully comped) . He wasted no expense and cut no corners, he went with EXACTLY what was recommended. Be forewarned. I'd stay with a local builder if you are having one built.
