Any experience with a Hydraulic Clutch conversion

I'm putting a 327 and Muncie M-21into a '62 Studebaker Lark and am still in the planning stages. I'm looking at using a hydraulic clutch conversion from Novak Conversions, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or experience. It seems like this will be way simpler than trying to retrofit the regular linkage. The car is a 6 cyl automatic now. This is just going to be a little sleeper/street cruiser. Thanks.

I used a truck bellhousing and slave from an 86/7 Chev pu and a clutch master from an 88 in my 59.

Had to get a bushing for the trans as the bore in the truck bell is quite a bit larger than the passenger version.

Might look into using a bell from a hydraulic Camaro or Firebird and use the corresponding master.

the master that mounts at about a 45* angle will give more room for a brake booster and the straight master will be right next to the brake master---too close for a big booster (at least in the 59, I can only use a 7" booster that is virtually useless).

I actually have a truck bellhousing that came with the Muncie. I installed a bushing. I wasn't aware that trucks came with a hydraulic clutch. I'm going to look into the truck master and slave. Thanks,

The truck bell with hydraulic clutches have a place to bolt the slave on.
I guess you can use a mechanical clutch bell, but you would need to get
a mount for the slave cylinder.

If you do not need an 11" clutch (168 tooth flywheel) you can use the 10.4 inch (153 teeth) and locate the bell from a late 80s Camaro/Firebird.
This bell would have the mount on the bell for the slave.

You've given me some things to think about. Thanks, and by the way the '59 El Camino is one of my favorites.
