Any home remedies for flating glossy black

I have a qt. of hotrod black (2k) that's a little to glossy for me. I don't want a flat black just 20 or 30% less shine. I know their is flatnners but I need to use it today. Anything I can add to it? Or my other idea is to spray it then buff it the next day. If I spray gloss clear over it would the black be less glossy ? I did a search on this an found that adding baby powder or talcum powder will flaten gloss, don't know about that.

Ive heard Talc for years; but I do NOT like playing Junior Chemist especially when you do not have a lot of paint to play with. Why not just spray it out then cut it with like 2500 or 3000?

I have sanded gloss black with 2000 and was happy with the satin sheen.

I'd spray it as it is too, then wet rub with 2000. I like that look too.
Is it acrylic ?

I think if you put gloss clear over it, it will be glossy because of the gloss clear

You could sand it with 2000, but you may get streaks if you are not well versed in sanding. I would look into the white ScotchBrite pad and go over it that way instead of sandpaper
